This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which cancellations and refunds may be requested for transactions made via our BBPS Payment Services.

This policy applies exclusively to transactions initiated through Beyound’s BBPS Payment Services, including payments for electricity bills, water bills, gas bills, DTH, mobile postpaid, broadband, insurance premiums, loan EMIs, and other BBPS-eligible categories.

Cancellation Policy

Eligibility for Cancellation

Cancellations may only be requested if the transaction fails or if the bill payment has not yet been successfully settled to the biller through the BBPS network.

A transaction failure may occur due to various reasons, such as payment gateway issues, technical errors, insufficient funds, incorrect consumer number / customer ID, or other unforeseen circumstances during the payment process.

Once a transaction is successfully completed and the payment has been processed and settled to the biller’s account via BBPS, cancellations will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Requesting a Cancellation

Cancellations must be initiated only by calling our customer service team at the number provided below. Our customer service team is available to assist you with the cancellation process.

Requests made via email, social media, or other means will not be considered valid for cancellation purposes. Only phone calls to our customer service team will be processed.

Payment Gateway Charges

In the event of a cancellation due to transaction failure, payment gateway charges and applicable taxes will not be refunded. These charges are retained by the payment gateway provider and are non-refundable.

No Cancellations for Successful Transactions

No cancellations are available for successful BBPS transactions. Once a payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation receipt has been generated, you must contact the biller directly for any refund or adjustment (e.g., duplicate payment, incorrect amount).

Refund Policy

Eligibility for Refund

Refunds will only be initiated by Beyound if the transaction is deemed to have failed. This includes, but is not limited to, technical errors, payment gateway issues, or suspicion of fraud that prevent the transaction from being completed successfully.

If a transaction is shown as “pending” or “in process” for an extended period (beyond 3 business days) without confirmation from BBPS, Beyound may investigate and, if confirmed as a failure, initiate a refund.

The refund will be processed to the same payment method (credit card) used for the original transaction.

Exclusion of Payment Gateway Charges

Refunds will exclude any payment gateway charges and taxes. These charges, which are imposed by the payment gateway provider, are non-refundable and will not be returned to the user.

Processing of Refunds

Refunds will be initiated by Beyound only after the cancellation request has been confirmed via phone or after an investigation confirms transaction failure.

The process may take several business days, depending on the credit card issuer, the payment gateway, and NPCI’s reconciliation cycles. Typically, refunds are reflected within 7–14 business days.

The refunded amount will reflect only the original transaction amount minus the non-refundable payment gateway charges and taxes.

No Refunds for Successful Transactions

Once a transaction is successfully completed and the funds have been credited to the biller’s account through BBPS, no refund will be processed by Beyound. Any claim for refund must be settled directly between you and the biller.

Special Considerations for BBPS Payments

Duplicate Payments: If you accidentally make a duplicate bill payment (e.g., paying the same electricity bill twice), you must contact the biller directly to request a refund. Beyound will not reverse a successfully settled duplicate payment.

Incorrect Consumer Number: If you enter an incorrect consumer number / customer ID and the payment is successfully credited to the wrong account, Beyound is not liable. You must contact the biller to resolve the issue. Cancellation is only possible if the transaction has not yet settled.

Disputed Bill Amount: Beyound does not verify the accuracy of bill amounts fetched through BBPS. Any dispute regarding the bill amount must be resolved directly with the biller.

Partial Payments: BBPS does not support partial payments for most billers. If you pay less than the full bill amount, the transaction may fail or be partially accepted at the biller’s discretion. Beyound is not responsible for such outcomes.

Bill Fetch Errors: If the bill amount displayed is incorrect, you should not proceed with payment. Beyound is not liable for payments made based on erroneous bill data provided by the biller through BBPS.

Refund Processing

Refunds will be automatically processed in cases of confirmed transaction failure once a valid cancellation request has been received over the phone, or after an internal investigation confirms failure. No additional action is needed from you beyond notifying our customer service team.

Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure, such as natural disasters, network failures, BBPS or NPCI outages, banking system outages, or other unforeseen circumstances that prevent Beyound from processing cancellations or refunds, we will not be held responsible for delays or failures in service.

Amendments to the Policy

Beyound reserves the right to amend or update this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. All changes will be communicated to users via the website, in-app notification, or other appropriate channels. The updated policy will be effective immediately upon publication. Continued use of the BBPS Payment Services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
